Cambodia-Thai Friendship Air Show 2024 Takes Off in Sihanoukville

PHNOM PENH, April 26, 2024 — The skies of Sihanoukville are set to dazzle as the Cambodia-Thai Friendship Air Show 2024 kicks off today. The event, which runs through April 27 at Techo Square (Poy Tamuong) in Preah Sihanouk province, features sixteen small aircraft from Thailand.

Organized in collaboration with the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents (CATA) and the Thai Aviation Association (TEAA), the air show is coordinated by the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation of Cambodia. Long Dimanche, Deputy Governor of Preah Sihanouk province, stated that the event aligns with the government's open skies policy and aims to bolster tourism and business sectors between Cambodia and Thailand, reflecting the strong cooperative relationship between the two nations.

This air show offers a unique opportunity for both national and international tourists, as well as the local public, to experience and capture the aerial displays, promoting the tourism and economic potential of the province.

Dimanche also highlighted a tourism trading alliance formed with Thailand's coastal provinces of Trat and Chanthaburi, aimed at enhancing regional tourism connectivity and economic exchange.
